For many years, EDC4IT has proudly relied on Hetzner machines to host and operate our courseware and training management services. These robust servers have consistently provided reliable performance, ensuring uninterrupted service to our clients. The majority of these machines are based in Finland, a location that has served us exceptionally well with no technical or operational issues.
However, in light of recent disruptions to undersea cables between the European mainland and Finland, we have decided to take a proactive approach to safeguard the continuity of our services. To avoid potential risks of unwanted disruptions, EDC4IT is migrating our server operations from Finland to Germany and Singapore. This migration process is already underway and is scheduled to be completed before the end of February 2025.
This decision stems from our "better safe than sorry" approach, as we prioritize the stability and reliability of our training platforms above all else. By relocating our services, we aim to preemptively address any potential challenges and ensure that our clients continue to receive the seamless, high-quality training experiences they have come to expect from us.
While the situation in the Baltic Sea region is being monitored, we are fully prepared to revert operations back to Finland as soon as the situation stabilizes and confidence in the connectivity infrastructure is restored. In the meantime, our clients can rest assured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted access to our services.
At EDC4IT, our clients are at the heart of everything we do. This migration reflects our proactive approach to problem-solving and our dedication to providing world-class training solutions without compromise.
