EDC4IT has made a name for itself by consistently providing high-end services in terms of IT training and courses. Our commitment and striving for excellence did not come to a halt even when a lethal pandemic affected our mode of operation.
On asking how EDC4IT dealt with the challenge of COVID-19, Jorden de Bouvé—MD EDC4IT shared his thoughts:
We entered the Covid-19 pandemic as a traditional IT training company, so primarily focused on delivering IT courses at the client's location. Online training was already possible with us, but it was more of a supportive feature for the on-site courses. Covid-19 made all this impossible at once and therefore we immediately scaled up and expanded our online training platform.
Since summer 2020 or before, most of our courses are online and, where possible and with all necessary safety measures in place, our instructors still occasionally travel to the customer. In 2021, we did see another growth in on-site courses, especially within Europe.
The world was still struggling to deal with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the various travel restrictions being imposed as newer variants of the deadly pandemic continued to surface one after the other. However, none of this prevented the massive developments happening at EDC4IT.
What major goals EDC4IT was able to accomplish in 2021?
Our goal for 2021 was to be able to run all courses online if necessary, but with a score of 9 or higher, as we were used to from the courses we ran on location. We succeeded and I owe the crew and everyone involved a big thank you for that!
We also succeeded in 2021 in reducing the price of the online courses and from the second half of 2021 we could run our courses in more time zones than just CET. In addition, we managed to further expand our Scala curriculum. This year, we are also expanding our entire course curriculum.
In 2021, EDC4IT was able to successfully improve the courses and delivery methodologies to keep up with the changing global trends. EDC4IT also explored newer horizons by reaching new markets in West and East Africa.
What is EDC4IT looking forward to in 2022?
For 2022, we have furthermore set ourselves the goal of being able to communicate even more effectively with our various target groups in order to make our courses even more easily available.
According to a report, IT budgets in Europe and the USA are expected to go up in 2022. Increased IT budgets also mean complex challenges and hence a growing need for specialized IT training.
Our courses have proven to improve the performance of IT professionals worldwide and they can even be quickly and professionally tailored to suit the specific needs of an IT team.
IT professionals' training and courses along with consulting and mentoring services shall be available online and on-location. However, it must be noted that on-location training depends on travel restrictions and several other conditions.
Happy 2022, let’s start learning!
