The COVID-19 pandemic has been wreaking havoc on the life of all individuals since its inception. The Education sector has been the worst hit.
After two years of struggling with the effects and aftereffects of the pandemic, the advent and rigorous inoculation of vaccines had finally allowed the world to return to a new normal. However, a new variant has arrived just when the feeling of perceived normalcy had begun to set in.
Omicron variant is a highly transmissible variant and can significantly increase hospitalizations. Thus, the border that had opened, and the eased travel restrictions are now back in place.
The governments around the world are fearful of yet another public health crisis. Hence, to contain the spread of this highly transmissible variant, several countries have imposed stringent travel bans. As a result of the travel bans, many airlines have also suspended passenger traffic.
EDC4IT has played an active role in mitigating the spread of the pandemic by suspending travel and thus on-site training. Throughout the pandemic, we delivered online training. The arrival of vaccines was a glimmer of hope in otherwise hopeless circumstances. Therefore, we made it a priority to get our staff vaccinated.
Once the world began to return to normal, and travel restrictions eased out, we resumed in-person training, allowing our instructors to travel. In early October, our instructors began to travel for training sessions. However, the arrival of Omicron variant dampened our spirits as the health threat grew and more strict restrictions were put in place.
With the arrival of the Omicron variant, we presently do not offer any guarantees to conduct on-site and classroom training courses. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty regarding travel bans and flight suspensions, we are forced to make this tough decision.
We shall continue conducting instructor-led training in the virtual arena. We can alter our agile online courses to fit your learning requirements. In addition, the interaction with the instructor in online courses is almost as good as in a classroom setting.
However, we expect our loyal customers to understand our plight. As much as our instructors love to travel for on-site training, we are compelled to make this decision for the ease and safety of all concerned individuals.
We hope that the challenging times are over soon and we as a whole can contain the Omicron variant in time. In the meantime, we hope you understand our situation.
