Database Training
Instructor-led database training: PostgreSQL for developers (effective SQL) and PostgreSQL administration (DBA), plus Java persistence with JPA and MyBatis.
Databases are where application performance is won or lost, and where a little depth pays back every single day. Our database courses focus on PostgreSQL, the open-source database that has become the default choice for modern systems, taught hands-on by practitioners.
PostgreSQL, from both sides
PostgreSQL for Developers teaches the side of the database most developer teams never get formal training in: writing effective and efficient SQL. Query design, joins and aggregation, indexing strategy, understanding execution plans: the skills that turn "the database is slow" tickets into solved problems. PostgreSQL Administration (DBA) covers the operational side: installation and configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring, tuning and the day-2 operations that keep production databases healthy.
For JVM teams, the database story continues at the application boundary: our JPA and MyBatis courses (part of the Java & Spring curriculum) cover object-relational persistence patterns and their trade-offs, and pair naturally with the PostgreSQL developer course.
Why database training pays off quickly
Few skills have a shorter path from course to production impact. A developer who can read an execution plan stops guessing at performance problems; a team that indexes deliberately stops accumulating slow queries as technical debt. Because our sessions are private and instructor-led, you can bring your own schema and your own problem queries: the lab environment is a starting point, not a cage.
Practical, small-group delivery
Database courses run as private sessions for your team (online or at your premises across EMEA and beyond) in small groups with plenty of room for questions. Scheduling is flexible: consecutive days or sessions spread out around production duties.
